LFA conducts character-based youth aviation programs that draw upon the LEGACY of the Tuskegee Airmen. Our comprehensive 3-tiered program works in tandem with partner organizations to help minorities and at-risk youth achieve success as aerospace professionals, particularly emphasizing military career opportunities.

Volunteer Opportunities

CORE STAFF

Core Staff are volunteers that function in teams that work “cross-program requirements” for all LFA activities/events. Desired commitment is for a 6 – 12 month period. These duties can be accomplished anywhere there is an internet connection.

  • Administration

  • PR/Marketing

  • Fundraising

  • Student Management

  • Personal Management

  • Logistics

  • Flight Ops

  • Program Management / Event Planning

KEY VOLUNTEERS

Key volunteers participate in completing important tasks identified by LFA.

 

Volunteers can fill positions mentoring, setting up, and various other tasks for LFA events, school visits, air shows, etc. Key Volunteers are genrally participate on a per event basis. Key volunteers can participate in events primarily in their local areas, as well as national level events.
